A new toilet for Harrington Park has been approved by the Halswell /Hornby /Riccarton Community Board, and is expected to be ready in late June.

There is currently no toilet in the well-used park -- the nearest toilets are either in Westfield Mall, The Warehouse on Blenheim Road or Middleton Park.  

A feature of the toilets will be artwork on the sides, as well as a community noticeboard on one wall. There should also be scope for the storage of volleyball nets, the consequence of a proposal developed as part of a project developed last year with local university students, school students and residents.
