Councillor Vicki Buck reports that the pavement works on Riccarton Road are complete to Harakeke Street.
"Fulton Hogan have been working really hard to get it completed even with the bad weather at the start of the week," she reports. "The road is fully reconstructed."
"I just want to say a huge thankyou to all the team who’ve been working on it and to all the users who have been great in terms of being careful and respectful of others !!
"Works left to complete next week are a few lids that need bringing to the new road height, and March/CityCare need to complete the property water connections, which means Harakeke can reopen.
"Over the next few weeks the green surfacing will go down when the surfacing has cured , and the signals at the railway will be installed when the poles and KiwiRail are ready. We’re planning to partially open the bus lanes east of railway to Deans Ave as soon as the green surfacing is down and that should be end of next week, weather permitting."
